Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute’s Longzhaoshan Modern Sea Ranch Research and Demonstration Base at Changdao Island Unveiled


On April 11th2018, the Longzhaoshan Modern Sea Ranch Research and Demonstration Base of Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute was unveiled at Changdao Wanshuntong Tourism Investment Co., Ltd. An expert advisory committee for the construction of the Longzhaoshan modern sea ranch at Changdao Island was also established.

The project is planned to be built on the northern part of the famous scenic spot “Longzhaoshan National Geopark” in Daheishan Island of Changdao Island, and is jointly developed by the investors - Wanying (Tianjin) Equity Fund Co., Ltd. and Changdao Wanshuntong Tourism Investment Co., Ltd. 6000 acres of modern sea ranch and land-based supporting factory, hatcheries and aquaculture facilities, etc., will be built. This facility will focus on the development of land and sea relay breeding, artificial reefs, enhancement release, recreational fishery and marine science popularization. This project is planned for the construction of a national sea ranch demonstration area.

The Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute, as the technical support of the project, has undertaken the overall planning of the sea ranch construction project. Among them, Guan Changtao, Wang Yingeng, Huang Bin, Ye Naihao, and Mao Yuze were hired as researchers. The implementation of the project will add new highlights to the construction goal of “creating a blue ecological island and a livable island” on the ChangdaoIsland.
